Do not wait for that trip to Napa; Kansas City is surrounded by an array of great wineries just waiting to be explored! If you like tasting fine wines, then you should consider booking a tour or tasting on your next free day. Below are some of the offers from Kansas City wineries.

Barley Bus Winery Tours: Hop on the bus and let it whisk you away to three different wineries on this relaxing five hour tour. The best part of this tour, besides the wine, is that the Barley Bus will drive you everywhere you need to go. There are still spots available for the Wine Country tour on Saturday, September 10 and Saturday September 11.

Sippin’, Smokin’ & Singin’ Saturday Night: Jowler Creek Winery is hosting a night full of wine, live music and locally-made cigars. The event will be held outside in the wine garden allowing guest to enjoy the night as they watch the sunset. This event will be on Saturday, September 10 at 6:00 p.m.

Wine Tasting on the Terrace: Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is hosting their last wine tasting of the season on Thursday, September 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition to unique, flavorful wines from Hermes Winery, there will be food pairings and even an educational program detailing how the wine is grown and blended.

Kansas City Wine Trail: If you want to visit wineries without a tour group on your tail, then consider traveling the Kansas City Wine Trail. The trail is a loop of nine different wineries all offering their own unique wines and other pairings for guests.
