Learn and Explore at Union Station’s Science City

Are you in Kansas City and looking for something fun, interesting and stimulating to do? Take the streetcar downtown to check out Science City! Science City, located inside Union Station, has been internationally awarded for Visitor Experience and named one of the country’s top 25 science centers!

Science City includes many different exhibits, demonstrations and interactive displays to help kids and adults alike engage, experiment and discover. Exhibits and attractions include the Demo Area, where demonstrations bring science to life, the Dinolab and Digsite, where visitors can dig up dinosaur fossils and learn about paleontology, and the Test Kitchen, where visitors explore the chemistry behind common foods.

The spring event calendar includes the Easter Eggstravaganza on April 15 and a guided tour of the night skies entitled, “Sky Station Live – Spring Star Tour” at the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, among other fun and educational programs at the Planetarium.

Union Station members can enjoy Science City visits free of charge, otherwise pricing can be found on the Union Station website. From March 29 to June 8, 2017 Science City is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
