Mummies of the World, the Exhibition at Union Station

If you have not gotten the chance to do as many things as you wanted to this summer, do not worry! There are still many exciting August events near you that will fill the end of your summer with fun. Below are just a few events from Visit KC’s calendar of events.

The College Basketball Experience’s 77 Days of Summer: This high-energy interactive facility allows fans of any age to immerse themselves in the game of basketball. From learning about basketball legends to participating in skill challenges, The College Basketball Experience guarantees an exciting time.

Claws at SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium: The Claws exhibit features crustaceans from around the world and teaches visitors about the anatomy and power of crabs. The exhibit will even showcase the giant Japanese spider crab, which reaches 12 feet in length when fully grown.

Mummies of the World, The Exhibition at Union Station: This exhibit features mummies and artifacts from around the world that date back as far as 4,500 years. Enjoy learning about these mummies through different interactive and multimedia experiences.

Art in the Loop 2017: Art in the Loop hosts performances and exhibits throughout Kansas City throughout the summer. The performances are all free and open to the public. Find one near you here.

Thirstdays at the Grandview Amphitheater: On the second and fourth Thursday in August, the Grandview Amphitheater will be hosting their last Thirstdays of the summer. These events include live music, food, tailgating games and drinks.
